Products I Keep Coming Back to Every Summer

Mina sommerfavoriter — produkterna jag alltid kommer tillbaka till

Every summer, I edit my routine. Some things get put away — too heavy, too much. And some things come right back out, because I know they work. These are the four I reached for this year.

Why Summer Skin Is Different

Heat, sun exposure, and humidity change how the skin behaves. Barrier function is more stressed. Inflammation shows up faster. And anything that was already going on — uneven tone, dehydration, redness — tends to get more visible.

That's why I don't just keep my winter routine running into June. I swap. I simplify. And I focus on what the skin actually needs right now.

Brightening Touch Serum — For PIE and Uneven Tone

If you've had breakouts and you're left with that lingering reddish-brown mark afterward — that's PIE (post-inflammatory erythema). It's not a scar. It's vascular. And it needs different ingredients than regular hyperpigmentation.

This serum is specifically formulated for exactly that. Three active ingredients — hypoxis rooperi, punarnava, and licorice — work together to reduce discoloration. Centella asiatica adds antioxidants and calms. Cotton extract targets redness.

I use 5–6 drops morning and evening, pressed in with upward movements. I notice a visible difference within a week. That's not marketing — that's just what happens when the ingredients are actually right for the problem.

Futurist V — The Hydration Upgrade

This one took three years to develop. You can tell.

It's a lightweight elixir that does something I haven't found many products do: it makes skin look rested. Not just hydrated — rested. There's a difference. Dunaliella algae protect against environmental stress. Shiitake mushroom extract strengthens the barrier. Stem cell technology supports the skin's own repair process. Hyaluronic acid plumps from within.

I apply 1–2 pumps on slightly damp skin, before moisturizer, morning and evening. It layers beautifully under everything else and never feels heavy — which matters a lot in summer.

The Summer Ritual: Soft Treatment Gel + Mushroom Gua Sha from the Fridge

This is the combination I look forward to most on warm evenings.

Soft Treatment Gel goes in the fridge in the morning. By evening, it's cold — really cold. I apply it as a mask on clean skin, and then I take the Mushroom Gua Sha (also kept in the fridge, or in ice water before use) and work it slowly across my face.

The gel itself is intensely calming: chamomile, calendula, centella asiatica, allantoin. It reduces redness and inflammation on contact. It also works as a daily moisturizer, but cold as a mask is something else entirely. Ten minutes of this and the skin feels genuinely settled — not just surface-level cool.

The Mushroom Gua Sha is made from stainless steel and comes in a black fabric pouch. It holds cold well, it's easy to clean, and it travels beautifully. I keep a pair so I can use both hands at once.

The Skin Coach Takeaway

Summer is not the season to overload your skin. It's the season to be precise — to know what you're dealing with and choose the things that actually address it. These four do exactly that. I've come back to all of them for a reason.
