My Evening Routine For Eczema Flare Ups

My Evening Routine For Eczema Flare Ups

Some evenings are not about doing more.
They’re about doing the right things, slowly. I also love to play old Sade videos and light candles for that vibe. 💜

Yesterday was one of those nights where my skin felt… a bit off. A mix of hormonal shifts (after stopping daytime breastfeeding), some breakouts, a bit of eczema showing up — and that subtle dryness that makes everything feel slightly tighter and more reactive.

So instead of overcorrecting, I leaned into a routine focused on repair, calm and consistency.

This is exactly what I did:

Step 1 — Cleanse, but keep it gentle

I started with Clear Makeup Remover — a soft, hydrating cleanser that melts everything away without stripping the skin.

I massaged it in for a good 5 minutes. Not just to cleanse, but to stimulate circulation and really let the skin unwind.

Then I rinsed with ice cold water. That contrast wakes up the skin, tightens slightly, and leaves everything feeling fresh but still balanced. No tightness or dryness. Just clean, calm skin.

Step 2 — Daily exfoliation (but controlled)

Floral Lotion No. 2

This is where I stay consistent, especially now.

Because of hormonal changes, I’ve been getting more breakouts — and this is where BHA really helps. It works deeper in the pores, helping to clear impurities before they turn into inflammation.

At the same time, it gently works on fine dry lines and uneven texture.

It’s not aggressive. It’s just effective over time.

Step 3 — Healing, everywhere

Beauty Drops No. 1

This is one of those products I always come back to when my skin needs extra support.

It helps speed up the healing of acne, reduces red marks, and right now — it’s also helping me manage small eczema flare-ups.

I even use it in my scalp where I sometimes get irritation, and the difference overnight is noticeable.

This step is less about “treatment” and more about giving the skin what it needs to repair itself.

Step 4 — Deeper repair + glow

Bio Vital Serum

This one feels like a layer of quiet luxury.

It’s deeply repairing, but for me right now it’s also about expression lines that have become a bit more visible over time.

It hydrates in a way that softens without heaviness. And the finish… dewy, but never greasy. You know when skin just looks alive again? That’s this.

Step 5 — Bring energy back into the skin

Cream Éclair

Spring is coming, and my skin always needs a shift here.

This cream adds vitamins and antioxidants, helping to detox, firm and re-energise the skin after winter.

It’s that step that makes everything feel a bit more… awake.

Step 6 — Seal & protect

Bepanthen

This is my forever product.

I discovered it when I had my first daughter, and it’s stayed with me ever since.

I use it on my lips, hands and feet — anywhere that needs that extra layer of protection and moisture. It seals everything in and helps the skin recover overnight. Simple, but so effective.

The real benefit?

It’s not just the products.

It’s the pace.

Taking time to massage, letting each layer absorb, not rushing through it just to be “done” — that’s what actually changes how the skin responds.

Especially when your skin is going through something (hormones, stress, seasonal changes), it doesn’t need more. It needs consistency, calm and support.

This is what my routine looked like yesterday.
And this morning, my skin felt… like itself again.

Soft, balanced, and a little more at ease.
